Situation

Kathryn Suddendorf is a childhood cancer survivor, diagnosed with Stage 4S Neuroblastoma at just three weeks old. After undergoing extensive treatment, she was declared cancer-free and went on to pursue her passion for fashion design. A Cancer for College scholarship recipient, Kathryn graduated from the University of Cincinnati and now works as an Assistant Apparel Designer in New York City. At 24 years old, Kathryn faced an unexpected $8,900 hospital bill for ongoing cancer care after her insurance denied coverage, putting her financial stability at risk.
